We undertook two years of design and extensive renovations before opening to guests. In converting the family home we have undertaken sensitive restoration works to seamlessly blend original period features and antiques with contemporary luxuries.
This project was the refurbishment of a large period building (10,000 sqft) and stud farm.The building originates from the nineteenth century. Full restoration was carried out including demolition of inappropriate flat roofed extensions and construction of new side living area to take advantage of the views and light. The interior was completely reformed to create dramatic living spaces that complement the original structure of the building. The work has been carefully executed in traditional materials to complement the vernacular building in the surrounding countryside and to best practice in conservation.
