Private House in West Waterford: A restored stone ruin transformed into a two-story family home, blending stone, brick, and modern materials to complement the landscape and stunning views.

Private House in West Waterford. We are excited to share some completed photos of our project completed in County Waterford last year. The project was driven from design stage around the consolidation of an existing stone ruin (see before picture) to form the basis of a family home. From here a design was developed to sensitively restore the stone building and extend it across two storey’s using a palette of stone, brick, render and slimline windows. The level changes on site also allow the building to sit comfortably within its surroundings and make best use of the views of the surrounding landscape. Internally we have created an open plan living area living that forms the main social space within the family home. A big thank you to all involved in this project, particularly our clients for trusting us with this project, the design team members, the main contractor O’Neill Cunningham, and all sub contractors involved including OnCraft Kitchens and Interiors Walter Power, Cullinane stonemasons Dean Halloran Barry McCarron, Keating Fabrication Ltd. Photography as always by the excellent David Murphy
