Our design for Google centred on adaptability and respect for heritage, creating a flexible interior that supports multiple uses while celebrating the building’s industrial character. Through a ‘light-touch’ approach, we retained original features, exposed structural elements, and introduced robust, timeless materials. Sustainability was integral, with a focus on reusing and recycling materials in line with circular design principles.
The space was designed as a highly adaptable framework, with modular seating, movable partitions, and advanced lighting and audio systems. This versatility enables the building to host exhibitions, performances, workshops, and educational programmes, encouraging active community use and engagement.
Reimagined as a modern community, education, and events space, the building once again plays an active role in Dublin’s cultural fabric—bridging its industrial past with a creative and inclusive future.
